UCAS FAQ:
Personal Details

Residential Category: You should put down "Other" (even if you hold UK passport as you have not been in the UK full-time).
IELTS TRF number: This is on the hard-copy of the certificate which is sent to the candidate's home after the assessment. It is alpha-numeric.
Passport Details: If you require a student visa, it will prompt you to input your passport details including the passport number, issue date, expiry date. For the place of issue, put down Hong Kong (unless it is issued elsewhere). You MUST put these details down for the purposes of issuing a visa.
Fee code: 01 Private Finance
Nominated Access: You can leave it blank or fill in your parents.

IB & DSE qualifications: Fill in Pending and we will upload your PGs on our end.

2.2: I am not sure how to provide more details about the source of funding?
The source is funding is your parents, so write that your family will be able to support the full cost of the fees, but that they are searching for additional sources of funding to reduce the financial burden such as ______ scholarships. What you can't write is the fee code "01" alone. Funding is clear-cut for HK students, which is families pay. In other parts of the world, especially the Middle East, there are some sometimes quite complex government funding arrangements available. That's what this question is really about.
A2.1: About the additional information to be given to Cambridge for their selection
You should wax lyrical about how Cambridge has certain offerings that other universities don't and why that is attractive to you. Then, show knowledge of supervision and collegiate life at Cambridge.
A4.1: Referee details?

*We do not send official predicted grades on letterheads for UK universities. Students must come into our further studies office to write down their own PGs in their notebooks. PGs are usually available by Sept 30th. PGs are final once they're set. That's our school policy.
*Students and parents don't get to see confidential recommendation letters from counsellors or from teachers. That's the meaning of the word confidential. This is an educational industry standard so please don't ask.
*We don't deal with outside educational consultants. If you choose to do so on your own, that is fine. We interface solely with parents, students, and college admissions directly.
*We will not entertain last minute applications.*
Internal Deadline to Submit UCAS:
A more detailed outline of deadlines will be given to students during the March briefings in Form 5. The chart below gives a GENERAL timeline so that students and parents know what to expect.
Our office requires time to double check your application details as well as process your predicted grades and reference which is why we set internal deadlines. We also want to prevent technical difficulties that arise closer to the actual deadline.
