UK boarding school apps are spearheaded mostly by parents. Most parents start the process at least 18 months ahead of when they want their child to matriculate. Fill out all forms - these vary school by school and you would have to contact the schools directly.
Have the boarding school send all principal/counselor/school reference requests and forms to Ms. Tracy Wong <tywong@spcc.edu.hk>.

How can SPCC help?
Most schools will ask for a record of the student's academic achievements. In this case, our office can help prepare a transcript.
Some schools may require reference. In this case, our office can help prepare the reference. If the school has a specific form, please send that through to Ms. Tracy Wong <tywong@spcc.edu.hk> after you have submitted the parents letter. In order for our office to process a reference, parents should download the Form for Reference below and send through a CV along with the completed form.
For Form 1 students, we would also require you to send through a P6 report card.
Students can set a date for an chat with Tracy Wong during one of their recesses. The reason we do this is because we can tell so much more about the child than just looking at his/her list of extra-curriculars and grades. Students are much more than just numbers on a sheet and we'd like to reflect their personalities in the letter. Just because SPCC isn't a good fit doesn't mean we shouldn't find the best alternative at another school. Each child is so multi-faceted that we wouldn't want to miss any part in our recommendation letter. We enjoy meeting all our students and it is also good practice for them before their own interview!

A few things to note...
*Students and parents do NOT get to see confidential recommendation letters from counselors or from teachers. That's the meaning of the word confidential and this is an educational industry standard. Please do not ask.
*The processing time for all supporting documents (ie. references, transcripts) is 10-15 working days. We do not entertain any urgent requests so plan ahead.
*We don't deal with outside educational consultants. If you choose to do so on your own, that is fine. We interface solely with parents, students, and boarding school admissions directly.
